winget install --id=KDE.Falkon -e Description
Falkon is a very fast Qt web browser. It aims to be a lightweight web browser available through all major platforms. This project has been originally started only for educational purposes. But from its start, Falkon has grown into a feature-rich browser. It has all standard functions you expect from a web browser. It includes bookmarks, history (both also in sidebar) and tabs. Above that, you can manage RSS feeds with an included RSS reader, block ads with a built-in AdBlock plugin, block Flash content with Click2Flash and edit the local CA Certificates database with an SSL manager. Note that as of May 9, 2026, the recentmost Windows version (3.1.0) is from 2018 and lags far behind the recentmost Linux version (26.04.1).
Falkon is available through winget as package ID KDE.Falkon, with version 3.1.0. Use the install command above to set it up on Windows without downloading a separate installer manually.
Why install it with winget
Browser pages perform best when they serve fresh-install intent. People often want to compare options, choose a default, and reinstall core apps quickly after a machine reset.
- •Makes a browser part of the same repeatable setup flow as password managers and chat apps
- •Useful for restoring day-one essentials after a reinstall
- •Avoids repeated manual downloads when setting up multiple PCs
