Alethon is a local AI watermark remover for video and images. It removes watermarks, subtitles, station logos and unwanted objects, then repaints the area with an inpainting model rather than blurring or pixelating it. Everything runs on your own machine — no footage is uploaded to any server. What sets it apart: no blur smear (the model reconstructs the hidden content so it matches surrounding texture); hover-to-highlight selection instead of hand-painted masks; per-shot tracks, so a watermark that moves after a cut is handled segment by segment and you only re-run the segments you dislike. Images work the same way. Engines: standard photo inpainting (bundled with the installer, ready on first launch), anime inpainting, temporally stable video inpainting, plus optional super-resolution. Honest note: repainted pixels are generated by AI, not the real content hidden underneath. Use it only on footage you have the rights to; do not use it to strip other people's copyrighted watermarks or to circumvent content protection.
